Step into a dream at A Midsummer Night’s Dream Book Fair
An evening inspired by Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where literature, romance, and enchantment come to life. This event invites both vendors and attendees to dress in theme: think Renaissance romance, woodland fairies, and storybook magic.
This is a space that leans deeply into the worlds we love most, romance, fantasy, romantasy, and paranormal stories, bringing together readers, authors, and creators who live and breathe these genres.
Spend the evening wandering through a beautifully curated gathering of local authors, bookstores, and small businesses. Chat with authors who write the stories you can’t put down, discover signed editions, and find your next favorite read from local bookstores.
Explore a wide variety of bookish treasures, from Kindle accessories and book accessories to reader art, stickers, shirts, sweaters, and jewelry, all thoughtfully created by small businesses that share a love for storytelling and aesthetics.
You’ll also find artisan-made soaps, bath products, and candles, along with sweet treats and drinks to enjoy as you wander.
And before the night is over, don’t forget to stop by the Ink & Alchemy Parlor, hosted by Tacoma’s own The Galerie Tattoo, for a fine line flash tattoo designed just for the event, a little piece of magic to take home with you.

As you explore, you’ll find roaming characters, whimsical photo spots, and little moments of magic tucked throughout the event—like wandering through your own storybook forest.

As you explore, you may come across fairies, forest spirits, wandering poets, enchanted librarians, and Renaissance-inspired nobles throughout the event… and if you’re lucky, maybe even a wandering enchanted spirit.
Enchanted Photo Moments
We’ll have two dedicated photo spots with fun, whimsical backdrops inspired by the theme, plus photographers walking around capturing candid moments as the night unfolds.
Ink & Alchemy: Tattoo Parlor
For those wishing to carry a little magic beyond the day, step into our Ink & Alchemy Flash Tattoo Parlor, featuring a professional tattoo artist offering delicate, fantasy-inspired flash designs created exclusively for the fair. Think enchanted symbols, botanical motifs, celestial markings, and storybook-inspired art, small, elegant keepsakes for lovers of magic and ink.
The Honeyed Hollow: Sweets and Drinks
